partners both in Finland and abroad, start recording albums, premiere new works — and
help train the next generation of professional ensemble singers.”

Sounds almost like a mission impossible, if we would have to start now from scratch…

Creating a professional choir isn’t a sprint — it’s a marathon. And after ten years, we can
proudly say we’ve crossed a major milestone. These years have been filled with unforgettable
concerts and also inspiring collaborations with Tampere Philharmonic, Tampere Theatre,
Tampere RAW, Kangasala Classic, Vaasa Choir Festival, and Tampere Vocal Music
Festival. We have aimed to be a flexible, reliable partner — one that brings value to the
entire choral community.

We’ve also worked closely with TAMK Music, offering training opportunities for emerging
singers and conductors. That’s a partnership we deeply value and hope to continue. On the
international front, the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir has become an important
collaborator for us in both concerts and educational projects — and more global connections
are on the horizon.

One thing we’ve learned: building a professional choral culture in Tampere means defining
our own operational models. Also, we’ve had to and decide for ourselves how success is
measured. For us, continuity is the key. Sure, those magical concert moments keep the fire
burning, but long-term growth and development matter even more.

Looking ahead, international activities are one of our biggest goals. We want to showcase
Finland’s and Tampere’s culture abroad — while we invite international choirs and
conductors to our hometown. That means hard work on both the artistic side and production
office. And yes, we will need all the local support we can get, because our ambitions are
high.
